“The vessel designs come from reminiscent memories of being at my paternal grandparents house, whom celebrated Native American art and pottery. I would imagine the artist, their lifestyle, and how this item was useful during their lifetime. I’ve always been fascinated by how mud and water can make functional wares, yet also be decorative. I wanted to reimagine that era, combined with my memory.”
